North Bedford Diving Club

Based in Bedford, our club caters for divers of any ability from the age of 8; whether you compete, want to learn, or just have some fun, we have qualified coaches that supervise the sessions.

Location: Robinson Pool, Park Avenue, Bedford, MK40 2JZ

Sessions: Wednesdays 7:30pm-8:30pm

Facilities: 2x1m Springboards, 3m Springboard & 5m Platform

Monthly Cost: £20

£10 refundable cancellation fee required when registering

You must be registered or book a trial session, you cannot just turn up. To do this, please contact us or come and see us at a training session. Please note there are no sessions in November or December as the pool is closed. We will be accepting bookings again from the beginning of December.

Information for Club Members

Winter Break:
No sessions from 5th November - 31st December 2008; we will be restarting on 7th January 2009. Please be aware that the membership fees will be increasing in the New Year to £20 per month to cover pool hire and coaching costs.

Club Development:
As some of you may know, we are trying to push the development of diving in Bedford. This will hopefully begin in the New Year with an amalgamation of Bedford's diving clubs to create a single diving outfit. Robinson Pool's lessons are also going to be restructured to help the progression of diving and potentially feed new members into the club. If the clubs do merge, our Wednesday session will stay the same, but the only difference you will notice is a new name for the club.

New Facilities:
We are also applying for funding to purchase an overhead water harness above the newer 1 metre board to assist in the learning of more complicated dives. There may also be the possibility of getting another 1 metre board to allow for synchronised practice and competitions, but we will update you on the progress of these in December if our application is successful.
